2. What CineTrack does
CineTrack allows you to:
Discover movies and TV shows

Maintain a personal watchlist and watched history
See where you can legally watch content online (by linking out to external services)
CineTrack does not host or stream full movies or TV shows itself.
When you tap “Watch” or open a trailer or external provider, you are redirected to third-party services. Their own privacy policies apply to your use of those services.

We do not create user accounts and do not ask you to enter personal information such as your name, email, or phone number in the app.
However, we store the following app data on your device:
Movies and TV shows you add to your watchlist
Items you mark as watched
Basic preferences (e.g., whether you’ve completed onboarding, app settings)
This data is stored locally on your device using Apple’s UserDefaults and is not automatically sent to our servers.

To show movie and TV information and trailers, the app calls external APIs, including:

Local app data (watchlist, watched history, settings) stays on your device until you:
Remove items manually, or
Delete the app (which generally removes the local data).
Ad and analytics data is stored by the respective third-party providers (e.g., Google, Firebase) in accordance with their own retention policies.
We do not maintain a separate backend server database for your personal profile.

7. Your choices & controls
You have several options to control your data:
1. Watchlist & stats
You can remove items from your watchlist or mark them as not watched.
You can delete the app to remove local data stored on your device.
2. External platforms
When you open external video or streaming services from within the app, you can manage your privacy settings directly on those services.

CineTrack is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
